About Our Beginnings
Our organization was created by Frantz Fortune, a social worker with
years of experience working directly with the homeless population.
He is now helping Atlanta to solve its homelessness problem through
his work with The United Way and the Positive Outlook Foundation. We
seek to create living conditions that will promote independence,
dignity, and a sense of purpose for veterans who are currently
underserved and in need, including the mentally ill, those who have
substance abuse problems, or physical disabilities.
Coming Together
We are a place of hope where our community's natural abundance of
compassion and resources can come together to embrace those veterans
who are neglected, sick, hungry, and have no place to turn. Our
organization provides food and shelter to veterans who are in
extreme poverty, as well as those who are merely struggling with
hard economic times. Starting now, we are working to develop a host
of programs to help homeless veterans make the transition from lives
of poverty and hunger on the streets to live as productive citizens.

Our Goal
Our goal is to be nationally recognized as a leader in the fight against
homeless. We want to be one of the most
successful
organizations in the country. Additionally, we will focus on our most
ambitious goal, which is to be part of the effort by ending chronic
homelessness in Georgia. We are confident that both our community and
our organization will rise to this challenge with resolve and
determination.
Rebuilding Lives
We want to help rebuild lives that have been shattered by war injuries.
Our expertise in serving the needs of this segment of the homeless
population along with our partnerships with a host of human services
organizations such as the Veteran’s Administration (VA), The Veteran’s
Administration Special Housing (VASH), The Health Care for Homeless
Veterans (HCHV), and The Health Care for re-Entry Veterans (HCRV),
will make us uniquely qualified to lead this effort.
