Dear Friend,
We live
in the most difficult and challenging of times.
With an economy in recession, and a government that responds with less
and less support to individuals in need, organizations like VEO are
forced to turn to private sources for the financial assistance necessary
to support their mission.
The
Veterans Empowerment Organization of Georgia, Inc. (VEO) has a vital
mission---to rescue military veterans in our State who are neglected,
sick, hungry, and have no place to stay or anyone to turn to. Our
organization provides food and shelter to veterans who are derelict, in
extreme poverty, or otherwise
struggling with hard economic times. We guarantee all homeless veterans
access to emergency supportive housing, permanent housing, and other
social services while providing a setting for their recovery that is
comfortable and appropriate.
President Obama inspires us with hope for the future, but it will take
time for him to reverse our current economic woes. The road ahead is
challenging. VEO, as an important organization with a vital mission to
assist our homeless veterans, is not unexpectedly having trouble
raising funds to
support our mission. We ask you for your support in this terrible time.
Right
now, many of us are feeling anxious and frustrated. But rather than
withdrawing into ourselves, we need to reach out to our communities and
all our brothers and sisters to let them know we're all in this
together. VEO is here to help our homeless veterans make the transition
from living on the streets to living as productive citizens. With
everyone pitching in we can succeed in raising funds and building our
program. The challenge is to work smarter, not necessarily harder, so
that we can thrive even in the worst of times.
You can
help VEO thrive by
making a gift
today.
We depend on you and thank you for your support.
Respectfully,
Frantz Fortune
